Reading Notes: Canterbury Tales, Part B
The Priest Who Became a Philosopher
- Can you be a priest without a church?
- Why would someone pretend to be a canon?
- What is his end goal with the silver trick? To steal silver from this priest?
- The priest should be wary once this man tells him no one can be present for the trick.
- Is a philosopher something different in this time? He sounds more like a proclaimed sorcerer or something
- Oh so he was trying to get the priest today for the trick
- Thats a very disappointing ending. I figured the priest would get one justice, or the canon would get what he deserved, but he just won in the end and the priest was out forty pounds
