Time Strategies
I read How to Beat Procrastination, and found several good ideas. I thought the idea of present bias was very interesting , because I hadn't thought much about it, but it makes a lot of sense. Specifically, I liked the idea of getting to the root of the problem and asking why it's so hard to start doing a certain task. I think that could be very helpful for identifying the problem and getting the ball rolling. The second article I read was The Psychology of Checklists. To look at exactly why checklists work so well was very interesting, especially considering that is one of the most successful methods I have for getting tasks done. This semester I plan to incorporate more checklists, and to make sure they are very detailed.
